These can represent the Royal Horse Guards (wearing a blue uniform) and the 1st and 2nd Life Guards (wearing a red uniform). As well as fighting in the Peninsula war they were heavily engaged during the Waterloo campaign in 1815. They helped screen the armies withdrawal from Quatra Bras and suffered many casualties as part of Lord Somersets Brigade at Waterloo itself (losing 320 men out of 696)
